Agreement Conditions for Car Rental

This agreement is made between the undersigned parties:

First Party: ZOY Car Rental S.A.R.L

Second Party: The Lease Holder / Renter

By renting a vehicle from ZOY Car Rental S.A.R.L, the renter confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted all terms and conditions listed below.

Driver Requirements

• Minimum age: 18 years.
• Maximum age: 75 years.
• Minimum driving experience: 2 years.
• A valid driving license is required. Local and international driving licenses are accepted.
• Valid identification is required, such as a passport or national ID.

Rental Duration

• Minimum rental period: 1 day.
• Weekly discount: 10%.
• Monthly discount: 20%.
• The rental duration starts from the vehicle pickup time stated in the rental agreement.

Security Deposit

• A refundable security deposit starting from USD 500 is required upon vehicle pickup.
• The deposit amount may vary depending on the vehicle category.
• The deposit will be refunded after vehicle inspection upon the safe return of the vehicle.
• Any damages, fines, fuel differences, missing accessories, or penalties may be deducted from the deposit.

Financial Guarantee

The renter undertakes to pay the required financial guarantee as determined by ZOY Car Rental S.A.R.L until the termination of the rental contract and the safe return of the vehicle.

Mileage Policy

• Unlimited mileage is included on all rentals unless otherwise specified.

Fuel Policy

• Same-to-Same Policy: The renter must return the vehicle with the same fuel level received at pickup.
• Fuel differences will be charged accordingly.

Payment Methods

Accepted payment methods include:

• Cash: USD and LBP.
• Credit / Debit Cards: Visa and Mastercard.
• OMT.
• Western Union.
• Whish Money.

Full payment is due upon vehicle pickup unless otherwise agreed.

Delivery Service

• Vehicle delivery is available across Lebanon.
• Delivery coverage radius: 20 km to 100 km.
• Delivery charges: USD 20 to USD 100, depending on distance.
• Airport pickup/drop-off fee: USD 50.

Legal Responsibility

The renter bears full responsibility under the laws and security systems in effect across all Lebanese territories.

The renter agrees not to use the vehicle for any purpose that violates internal security, including but not limited to the transportation of weapons, drugs, explosives, illegal substances, forged money, or judicially wanted persons.

The renter releases ZOY Car Rental S.A.R.L from any responsibility related to these prohibited actions.

General Agreement Terms

1. The introduction and the particular terms and conditions form an integral and inseparable part of this agreement.
2. The Second Party, referred to as the Renter, has rented from the First Party, ZOY Car Rental S.A.R.L, a motor vehicle of the type and under the conditions agreed upon by the customer and the company, including the daily rental rate and rental duration.
3. This contract shall be effective between both parties and enforced according to Lebanese laws and regulations.
4. This contract is valid only within the borders and territories of Lebanon.
5. The same territorial limitation applies to the attached insurance policy, which must be respected in accordance with its terms and conditions.
6. The renter confirms that they have read and agreed to the conditions of the insurance contract.

Insurance

• Basic insurance covering road accidents is included in all rentals.
• Insurance deductible/excess amount: up to USD 1,000, depending on the damage and insurance conditions.
• Full insurance upgrade is available for USD 25/day.

• Tires damage.
• Glass damage.
• Interior damage.
• Undercarriage damage.
• Reckless or dangerous driving.
• Driving under the influence.
• Unauthorized drivers.
• Violations of Lebanese laws.

Cancellation Policy

• Free cancellation is available up to 24 hours before pickup.
• Cancellation less than 24 hours before pickup: 100% charge.
• No-show reservations are non-refundable.
• Early vehicle return may qualify for a prorated refund, subject to management approval.

Late Return Policy

• Grace period: 60 minutes.
• Late return fee: USD 20 per additional hour.
• Full extra rental day charges may apply after excessive delay.
• Failure to return the vehicle without notice may result in legal action and additional charges.

Contract Renewal

If the renter wishes to renew the contract for another period, the renter must inform the company management at least 24 hours before the termination of the contract.

If the renter fails to inform the company on time, the contract may be considered automatically renewed for one additional day. Otherwise, the vehicle may be considered stolen, and the renter shall bear full responsibility for all damages and losses resulting from the delay.

Prohibited Uses

The following actions are strictly forbidden:

• Off-road driving.
• Driving or transporting the rented vehicle outside Lebanese territories.
• Cross-border travel without written authorization.
• Pets without approved carrier protection.
• Lending, re-lending, subleasing, or allowing the vehicle to be used by unauthorized drivers.
• Racing, drifting, reckless driving, or unsafe driving.
• Towing or pushing other vehicles.
• Using the vehicle to transport weapons, drugs, explosives, illegal substances, forged money, or judicially wanted persons.
• Using the vehicle to transport merchandise, animals, or passengers in exchange for money.
• Using the vehicle for any illegal, unsafe, or unauthorized purpose.

Any violation of the above conditions may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement and legal action by ZOY Car Rental S.A.R.L.

Vehicle Return Conditions

• The vehicle must be returned in the same condition received.
• The rented vehicle must be returned to the company’s head office or to one of its branches at the end of the rental contract.
• The vehicle must be returned in very good condition, without damage, missing parts, loss of accessories, or destruction of any equipment or pieces.

• Traffic fines.
• Parking tickets.
• Toll charges.
• Missing accessories.
• Excessive dirtiness requiring special cleaning.
• Rental value during vehicle repair or immobilization period after an accident.

Accident & Emergency Procedure

• Any accident, theft, fire, robbery, or damage must be reported within 24 hours.
• The renter must inform the company manager or one of the company branches within a period not exceeding 24 hours.
• A police report may be required in case of accident or theft.
• Failure to report incidents within the required period may void insurance coverage.

Accident, Damage, and Theft Responsibility

• In case of any accident, the renter shall pay the rental value for the days during which the vehicle is stopped or unavailable for use.
• In case of any accident, including traffic accidents or total or partial damage, the renter shall be responsible for paying an amount ranging between USD 500 and USD 1,000, depending on the case.
• In case the vehicle is stolen, the renter shall bear 25% of the vehicle’s value.

Lost Keys & Documents

• Lost vehicle key penalty: USD 350.
• Loss of the vehicle registration papers or vehicle key may result in a penalty of USD 350.
• Lost registration papers penalty: applicable replacement charges.

Company Rights

ZOY Car Rental reserves the right to:

• Refuse rental service.
• Cancel reservations.
• Retrieve the vehicle without prior notice in case of agreement violation.
• Charge the renter for any damages, violations, penalties, or legal expenses resulting from misuse of the vehicle.

ZOY Car Rental S.A.R.L has the right to terminate this contract and recover the vehicle from the renter without prior written notice and without having to resort to judicial courts if the renter fails to fulfill the conditions and stipulations of this agreement.

The renter shall be charged for all expenses, losses, and damages resulting from such failure, and the company reserves the right to claim compensation and file legal action if necessary.

Civil and Penal Responsibility

The renter assumes all civil and penal responsibilities that may arise from this contract, from any accident, or from any breach of security.

The renter shall bear all compensations, penalties, expenses, and legal consequences that may result from such responsibilities.

Governing Law

• These Terms & Conditions are governed by Lebanese laws and regulations.
• Any dispute arising from this agreement shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Beirut Courts.

Acceptance

By renting a vehicle from ZOY Car Rental S.A.R.L, the renter confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
